Review by: Eric Butler Batman #36 Written by: Tom King Art by: Clay Mann, Seth Mann, Jordie Bellaire Published by: DC Comics
Superfriends! Taking place after the recent issues, Bruce has proposed to Selina Kyle. The have finally made it official and told the bat family.
The Story Opening with Superman talking to Lois. She's asking him to call Bruce. As Bruce is getting married the two have not talked about it. On the other end of things Bruce is talking to Selina about it as well. Both women believe that the men should call and talk to each other.
We are treated to side by sides of both of their lives, we see Bruce telling Selina all about Clark and on the other hand Clark telling Lois all about Bruce. How they are different and how that makes them friends.
In the end each hero admits the other is a better man then they are. They both think they are under the other and that is why they are afraid to call each other. The issue ends with both couples investigating a Dr. Double X. They meet up and the ladies finally meet. Batman and Superman knock out the villain. Finally the four will go out to dinner and officially connect. A date years in the making, stay tuned for the next issue.
Final Thoughts This issue is nothing but nostalgia, showing each hero being vulnerable and how they both look up to each other. This is a pure feel good comic that puts a smile on my face. I can't wait till next issue. The art is fantastic and both characters are written incredibly well. I give this issue a 9/10!
